Fashion Gatekeepers are those in the fashion industry who are responsible for the publicity which causes popularity in trends in a season. These include the highest level of editors, designers, stylists, photographers, and buyers. Gatekeepers hold immense weight when it comes to the rise or decline of businesses during any given phase because they essentially guide the public into desiring certain looks and brands through their publicity of those things.
Laura Brown
Laura Brown is the former editor-in-chief of InStyle, a leading fashion and beauty magazine. Beginning her position in 2016, Laura brought vibrance into the magazine, developed it in diversity, and engaged the readership in the six years in which she held the position. Due to her position as editor-in-chief, Laura was able to influence the readers of InStyle through her decisions in editing and held the final say in what would be published in each magazine.
